Hearings on Eskom tariff increases

Cape Town, January 14 2019 – Eskom says it’s struggling under a massive debt of over R400-billion. And they want you to pay some, if not all of it. The power utility has applied for a 15 percent tariff increase, over the next three years. Bo-kaap residents fight on

Cape Town’s city council will unlock prime pieces of land for mixed-income housing

Cape Town, December 13 2018 – A landmark decision by Cape Town’s city council will unlock prime pieces of land for mixed-income housing. The Salt River Circle site will see middle and upper-income households subsidising those with lower incomes.
